GlobalReach Hits 2014 Wireless Broadband Alliance Awards Shortlist

GlobalReach is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted for two awards in the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) Wi-Fi Industry Awards 2014.

The two categories in which GlobalReach has been shortlisted are:

  • Most Innovative Hotspot Venue Award for its work: Making seamless secure public Wi-Fi across the Atlantic a reality, London joins cities of San Francisco and San Jose with Passpoint network.
  • Best New Venture Award.

Commenting Nigel Wesley, CEO of GlobalReach Technology said, “We’re delighted to be up for these important awards, recognising the work of our team and those of San Francisco and San Jose. It’s great to be helping to create the world’s largest municipal deployment of Passpoint technology that is open to the public and available to anyone with a supported device. We have embarked on a programme implementing Passpoint networks and we expect more and more network providers to join, which will allow us to realise our collective vision for global Wi-Fi roaming.

“To be recognised by the judges for the work we have done establishing ourselves in the market is also a great achievement for the team. The WBA is an important forum for the exchange of ideas and the delivery of an outstanding user experience through the deployment of next generation Wi-Fi.”
