Service Providers Can Use the Access Points for Fast, Public Wi-Fi Deployment

London, 12 December 2023Fortinet’s FortiGate physical controller is approved and fully documented for use with GlobalReach Technology’s  Trusted WiFi cloud Wi-Fi platform. Broadband carriers and managed service providers (MSPs) are using the combined hardware, captive portal and user onboarding solution for carrier-grade public Wi-Fi services for any venue.

Trusted WiFi is a self-service, cloud Wi-Fi platform for service providers to deliver and manage public Wi-Fi services. Personalised, multilingual captive portals can be designed and launched in minutes. The platform is hardware agnostic, working with any Wi-Fi access points.  A growing list of hardware and software are validated and documented. Fortinet joins InHand Networks, Galgus, Nomadix Gateways, Ruckus Networks, Cisco Meraki, Cambium Networks and Aruba Instant On.

A complete solution for public Wi-Fi service delivery, Trusted WiFi streamlines Wi-Fi service deployment. It reduces operating costs and time-to-market with pre-configured captive portal templates, a choice of authentication methods, anonymised data capture and analytics, and management from a single dashboard. Quick start guides for all Wi-Fi major vendors are provided.

The platform supports thousands of connections for all a service provider’s end customers. These include independent organisations to large multisite chains, like cafes, stores, shopping centres, stadiums and transport hubs.

Sara Lupori, chief product officer of GlobalReach Technology, comments: “We’re updating the platform in response to service providers. Each vendor goes through full quality assurance checks before releasing the update. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to make Trusted WiFi self-service and easy to use in as many environments as possible.”
